Woodlands Brewing Company was founded in October
2003 in the village of Wrenbury, Cheshire.
The mineral spring water that is used for all the beers
brewed at Woodlands Brewery comes from our farm in
the heart Cheshire.
The spring comes bubbling up through the peat field
and is very cold and beautifully clear with a distinctive
flavour which makes our excellent beers unique.
Peat is often formed on a huge underground lake
probably hundreds or even thousands of years ago
and perhaps that’s where our water comes springing
up from and as we all know only the best of the whiskies is made from water formed this way.
Water from peat often contains very many beneficial minerals so while you are drinking the beer, just think it could be doing you the world of good!!!
Our brewing equipment uses the latest technology for temperature control, an important factor for the brewing process, and all stainless brewing vessels to ensure high quality, consistent products.
We use natural ingredients of the highest quality. Grain, hops and yeast are the only ingredients in our beers (with the exception of Bees Knees which has a small amount of Acacia Honey), we don’t use any chemicals such as flavourings, colourings or preservatives.
In December 2008, due to expansion of the business, Woodlands moved to a custom built premises in Stapeley on the outskirts of Nantwich. This move intends to help us to increase production and also increase productivity to keep up with ever increasing customer demand. We are now in a more central location to the customers that we supply, and are now also easier to find!
Feel free to come along and visit us here at Woodlands. Our staff are very friendly and they will offer you a sample of our fantastic products and will show you around if you wish.
